Don Bosco Gala 2013

Tonight, we are honouring twelve young people who have put their Christian faith into action in a variety of different ways. Their example shows us that there are many ways to live our Catholic faith in the modern world. We thank them and all the nominees for their witness and their dedication to serving the young people of the Church in Ottawa. This year there were many nominees for the awards and it was a tough decision. That in itself is a wonderful sign of the vibrancy of Youth Ministry and the presence of many hearts on fire for service to youth here in Ottawa. Congratulations to all the nominees and the award winners – well done! May the good work continue with the help of God’s grace this year and for many more years ahead. Read more of Fr. We envision a Christ centred Youth Ministry guided by the Holy Spirit that reaches out to the young people of the Diocese, fostering in them a deeper faith while enabling their full active participation in all aspects of parish and community life.
