The Office of Social Justice is responsible for working with the parishes and organisations of the Archdiocese, and with partners in the faith communities and social agencies on social issues which call attention to the human rights and responsibilities of members of our community to care for each other. We are currently engaged in partnerships which address specific initiatives in respect of the unemployed and homeless, and seniors-at-risk who are living alone.
Patricia Marsden-Dole, D Min., Coordinator of Social Justice for the Archdiocese, seeks to engage the Catholic community with the Gospel message articulated by Pope Francis “to respond to the God of love who saves us, to see God in others and to go forth from ourselves to seek the good of others” (Evangelii Gaudium, 57).
