Come to the Diocesan Feast on June 6 at Notre Dame Cathedral
Archbishop Prendergast is inviting you to join hundreds from across our archdiocese in celebrating the Diocesan Feast on June 6. This year, the theme is that of our pastoral year: “They declared all that God had done with them, and how he had opened a door of faith.” (Acts 14:27) “Increase our faith!” (Luke 17:5). All are most welcome to attend, and we look forward to seeing you there!
Pope Francis: Christians should never be forgetful
We must pray for the grace of the Holy Spirit so we never forget the Passion of Jesus who takes away our sins. This was the focus of Pope Francis in his homily at morning Mass. He said when vanity creeps in, when some people believe they have a 'Nobel Prize for Holiness," we must remember the words of the Lord: '... remember where I took you from, the very least of the flock. You were behind, in the flock.' Memory is a great grace, and when a Christian has no memory -- he is not a Christian, he is an idolater. View this video clip.
Holy Father's prayer intentions for May 2013
That administrators of justice may act always with integrity and right conscience.
That seminaries, especially those of mission churches, may form pastors after the Heart of Christ, fully dedicated to proclaiming the Gospel.
